Review: DJ Phantasy & Dextone – Refused EP

Phantasy is certainly no stranger to the Drum & Bass scene, in fact he’s been around since before it even started. Forward on to 2015 and he’s teamed up once again with the talented Dextone for their Refused EP after having a best seller on the Viper compilation earlier this year.

Refused EP kicks of with Refused, a no nonsense uplifting d&b number with all the right elements to get the party started.  Uplifting riffs, powerful kicks a wholloping sub will firmly keep Refused in the clubs peak time hours.  Did we forget to mention there’s video to go with it, well there is!

Next up is Track With No Name, clearly all the effort was put into the track and none was left to call it anything 🙂 This ones more on the underground tip with starts showing the diversity of this EP, cavernous bass and dirty beats suitable for those dark & dingy clubs.

Finishing off the Ep is Second Cut, heading straight for the jump up crew this one’s got more filthy that Steptoes fingernails.  not gonna be everyones bag but certain ready to tear the roof off.  Think Innovation pool party and no one is dry.  Big.
